Who Are We?

The co-directors of Buckley & Hawkins are Zayne Buckley and Fraser Hawkins.


Fraser Hawkins:

While admitted to practice law in multiple jurisdictions internationally, Fraser is also an Associate Chartered Accountant.


Specialising in civil and criminal litigation, Fraser has a background as a trial lawyer having appeared in many complex civil and criminal cases. Furthermore, Fraser previously practiced in the Cook Islands where he acted for the Cook Islands Government in a range of legal matters.


In Australia, Fraser has represented clients in a wide range of matters in both the State and Federal Courts, including acting for a large Federal Government Agency. Fraser has a keen interest in defamation, contractual disputes, liquidations and bankruptcy, sports law, and serious fraud offences.


Regardless of what your issue is, Fraser has the expertise and knowledge to assist.

Zayne Buckley:

Zayne graduated from University in 2022, obtaining a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce with majors in Accounting and Finance. He continues to further his education and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Law at the top university in Australia for law.


Zayne is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia, and his sole focus is in litigation, where he particularly enjoys defamation, consumer law, contractual disputes, and debt recovery.


Zayne’s experience spans various areas, including multi-million dollar construction disputes, high-value contractual disputes, employment law, defamation, body corporate disputes, and significant land resumptions.


Despite being a junior, Zayne has already achieved success in numerous cases and is quickly gaining recognition as a skilled lawyer.
